Just in time for summer, learn how to prepare your favorite meat dishes with delicious marinades and rubs while enjoying specialty cocktails and select wines from our cellar.  Strike up the grill with Chef Cal and speaker Robert Esser of Newport Meats, as they discuss the aging of meat and various meat cuts from local grass-fed to American Wagyu.

We invite you to enjoy the grand tradition of afternoon tea with acoustic guitar and warm Carmel Valley sunshine in our fragrant Rose Garden. Along with select wines from our cellar, a variety of herbal teas including fresh lemon verbena and spearmint will be offered.  Our savory buffet will include cucumber-mint sandwiches, house smoked salmon and watercress tea sandwiches.  Of course, classic scones, house made preserves and vanilla madeleines will complete the afternoon.

With a glass of rosé in hand, stroll our abundant Chef’s Garden and fragrant lavender beds with horticulturist Mark Marino and experience an informative bee talk and honey tasting with Jake Reisdorf, teenage owner of Carmel Valley Honey Company. Chef Cal Stamenov will delight guests with a grand lavender inspired buffet lunch with ingredients culled from our garden and vineyard.

After a reception in the sunshine, step into Lucia Restaurant for a garden inspired lunch buffet featuring Cal’s Tomato Ratatouille, Carmel Valley Gazpacho, Roasted Free Range Sonoma Chicken and Natural Prime Beef.

Join Bernardus Winery in marking prime time for the annual grape harvest in the heart of Carmel Valley wine country. Harvesting grapes is the first step towards the finished bottle and it is the busiest time of the year. The afternoon will pay homage to the season with grape stomping, barrel wine tasting, live music and family style barbecue lunch.

We invite you to witness our harvest firsthand and celebrate the culmination of a solid year’s worth of work, care and expertise.
