Overview

With a focus on California-natural cuisine created by celebrated Chef Cal Stamenov, the four-star Marinus spotlights local, organic seasonal produce as well as regional seafood and artisan farmed meats. Stamenov’s cooking style lets the foods’ natural flavors take center stage, with hand-selected produce and herbs from his own organic two-acre garden. While dining at Marinus, you’ll enjoy magnificent garden and mountain views and a 12-foot-wide European fireplace.

Marinus received Wine Spectator magazine’s highly coveted “Grand Award” for its wine cellar in 2001, an honor granted every three years. The cellar houses 1,500 different wines and a total of more than 25,000 premium bottles, including 10,000 bottles from the acclaimed Bernardus Winery & Vineyard.

Stamenov has created a series of unique cooking classes and food and wine weekend getaways offering guests the opportunity to experience and savor imaginative food accompanied by a selection of Bernardus wines. Participants learn to prepare traditional dishes and seasonal specialties unique to the restaurant and area.
