Meet the renowned culinary talent behind Lucia—Chef Cal Stamenov. A graduate of California Culinary Academy, Chef Cal began his career in 1982 at New York’s famed Four Seasons restaurant, later moving west to perfect his skills as Executive Chef in restaurants in Carmel such as the Highlands Inn, and Chef de Cuisine of the highly-regarded Etoile at Domaine Chandon restaurant in Napa Valley. Chef Cal is steeped in the European tradition of culinary artistry and has spent years in the most demanding kitchens of the world’s most renowned chefs, including Alain Ducasse, Pierre Gagnaire, Masa Kobayashi, Jean-Louis Palladin and Michel Richard.
