With extensive organic herb and vegetable gardens, vineyards and fruit trees, our 28-acre estate produces some of the freshest produce in Carmel Valley, California. Seasonal ingredients inspire our culinary team's cuisine and we are fortunate enough to produce our own honey and wine, giving our food and drink menus an added personal touch.

Thistle be fun! Join Chef Christian as we celebrate the flavor, texture and beauty of our local artichokes. Known for its tender heart and robust petals, the artichoke is a favorite for bees, butterflies and chefs alike. Jane Hayes, owner of Monterey Farms, will guide you through what it takes to raise and cultivate this unique flower as you sip artisan artichoke beer, roasted jalapeno and artichoke bloody marys, artichoke inspired cocktails and Bernardus wine. The afternoon will truly put the sunshine in your glass. A grand buffet lunch will conclude the day with warm artichoke bread, fan-favorite fried baby artichoke hearts, herbaceous grilled artichoke salad, artichoke chicken piccata and more to truly show the versatility of this garden gem. Cheers to this heart of gold.
